An award named after the legendary Charles Darwin, of course, Bill.

There are those infamous jokes that get passed around electronically and
my understanding of the Darwin award is that it goes to the human being
during a particular year who has done his best through shear stupidity
to help remove his genes from the gene pool by virtue of some very
stupid action on his behalf which often results in his death (and thus
"removal" of his genes from the available gene pool).

I wish I had kept some examples around but we are talking about some
very serious actions and reactions!
