A gentleman gave a talk on this at our club meeting last night. Quite a
project, but some folks are thinking even bigger - check out the
Overwhelmingly Large Telescope (OWL)....

Isn't the next one up to be called FORL? Not sure what the 'F' stands
for but the "ORL" stands for "OutRageously Large" ;-)
