What is being overlooked is the possibility that this was a message to
the
Chinese and mostly North Korea.
That Trump can and will take action if he's pushed.

Military action against North Korea would not be as easy as an attack
against Syria. We would risk counter attacks against not only US forces
stationed along the border but the 10 million civilian lives in Seoul.
Even without using nukes, North Korea has field artillery which is
already aimed at these targets.
The only way to successfully engage the North would be a massive strike
targeting their command and control infrastructure, radar and
targeting, and then artillery and nuclear launch sites. This would be
very very difficult to do without a massive build up of air and sea
assets which would obviously be noted by the North. I'm talking
thousands of cruise missiles and stealth aircraft. Followed up with
B52s out of Guam as well as standard rockets and artillery from our
ground forces. Difficult to pull that off
Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
I'm still not with the attack in Syria, but I'm just trying to hope that is
was a "necessary" option, as Trump is really losing a lot of my and others
support.
Still far better than had hitlery been in there, and would have surely
launced us into WW3 already.
