We are at statistical full employment and in many cities jobs are going unfilled. A friend in Denver tells me that you can't swing a dead cat without hitting an employment sign.

Yes indeed in some of the southern red states (I'm looking at you Mississippi) the unemployment is high and the poorly educated don't have much chance to land any kind of job. Part of that is because these states have been run by severe right wingers who cut infrastructure and education to the bone in order to save their constituents some taxes. It is no wonder then that young millennial entrepreneur job creators have declined to move there. What kind of life would they have and what kind of future would they be offering their kids?

Yesterday I heard one bright young kid from Miss in an interview on the radio. Straight A student, who upon graduation will high tail it out of there as soon as possible. Said there is nothing for him in the deep south, no opportunity, no real life. Meanwhile up east in NY state, Massachusetts and Maine where we have family, there is a distinct shortage of skilled workers and the pay is very good.
