What about the impostors who make plenty of money and reputations from a rotating celestial sphere and sucker the rest of the population that their voodoo and bluffing means something . Are you not splitting your sides laughing that some guy standing beside his magnification device can announce himself as an astronomer while being unable to appreciate something as wonderful as a moving Earth and a stationary Sun.

What was destroyed to make way for those with the worst possible convictions to hijack astronomy and turn it into an identification exercise where no consideration is given to the motions of the Earth through space and turning beneath your feet.
