Default speed of light asymptotic to constant in gravity well

Years ago I came up with the theory that the speed of
light is asymptotic to a constant in a gravity well
but is much larger out in interstellar space. I even
came up with a formula for it, one that involved
inverse tangents. If there is enough interest I could
try to dig it out from my paper files and computer files.
