isn't it true that they were never excomunicated for their religious

What Mengele did to the innocent Jewish prisoners wasn't done in the
'name of science'. He did it because he was a crazed religious fanatic
persecuting innocent Jewish folks, like the Christians have been doing
for thousands of years.

Using your same logic, Mengele was a human and as such, the crimes
were committed in the name of humanity! In fact, every religious atrocity
was also committed by humans.
