Did your original posting say "Some Bible scholars"? And in the case
of your last fact(oid) (= that "they" believe it is the center of the
universe), did you perhaps say "some Bible scholars who have been dead
for 500 years"?

For that matter, I've never heard any Bible scholar express the opinion
that life was unique to Earth, although I've heard some say that perhaps
the opposite is true. ("Perhaps", because they didn't want to be
dogmatic.) But maybe you limit your input from Bible scholars to late
night TV.
