A senator and a former astronaut both advocate killing NASA's
involvment in supporting commercial space.
I predicted right in this NG that this would happen and that Boeing and
L-M are probably behind it. Both feel threatened by SpaceX and are now
blatantly ordeirng their paid cronies in Congress to pass legislation
that would kill them.
Well, I like their plan below, full of detailed cost and timeline
estimates. Along with the very specific goal that makes
absolute sense, considering our current booming economy
and huge surpluses...
"In coming weeks we, with others committed to the HSF
program, will offer a more detailed plan to return to flight.
Not as passengers on Russian rockets, but as explorers
in U.S.-made vehicles able to blaze new trails in the
star-filled sky."
Yes sir, that's right, our space 'plan' is to blaze new trails
in a star-filled sky.
Someone pinch me please, I can't believe they expect the
Congress and public to swallow such...lunacy.
