I didn't say my grammar was up to the task, did I? I suppose my
undergrad Russian grammar might be better, if I could remember any of it.

But I do remember how hard it was to express myself in Russian (the
professor also noticed, providing copious reminders) so, if someone is
willing to make the effort to express himself in English for my benefit,
I'm willing to make the effort to understand what he is saying.

(BTW, grammar != spelling. I'm equally poor at spelling, however, so the
point is moot.)
