Bill,
Nothing new from you. You do play the same old scratched record.
1. Valery has attacked SV , Carl Zambuto, Thomas Back, and Markus Ludes
on SAA repeatedly, and has threatened to sue Ed Ting for an unfavorable
review of one of Valery's products..
When you mind will understand two basic things:
I criticize SV's, TMB-Markus and CZ's _approach_ of their products
promoting.
The time finally showed, that SV's claims about their scopes fenomenal
color correction is nothing but marketing hype. Now all agree, that these
scopes are fine, overpriced, but still ordinary achromats (i.e. with same
or very similar color correction as other achromats). So, the time proved
I was right.
I don't know now which figues Karl Z. now prints in his certificates
1/63 or 1/50 wave. But these figures were nothing, but promoting hype too.
Finally, most peoples did understood this too.
In their intention to sell as many apos, as possible, TMB-Markus "team"
finally reached the point were they found acceptable to use bogus and cooked
pictures for demonstration of LZOS-made objectives superiority vs others.
And this was only half of a problem. Second half was that other products
were tested incorrectly and when I pointed out this, I was attacked by Markus,
Wane Gandona, TMB himself and other their followers. Very well known method!
2. Thomas Back has strongly praised Astrophysics repeatedly in this
group, and strongly praises AP on his web site, even though AP is a competitor.
Aga, especially quite recently here and it that dirty thread in the TMB
group with bogus pictures used and claiming, that 100 F/8 TMB indeed better
color corrected, than AP's 130 F/8.3 (despite the fact peoples do not see
any color in these AP scopes).
You, Bill, is simply biased.
It is well known that Tom still owns some of the early AP refractors that he
refuses to part with because of their high quality.
3. Tom has strongly praised Carl Zambuto mirrors and Starmaster
telescopes on SAA and on Yahoo newsgroups and has described his pride and
pleasure in owning a 22" Starmaster. This is even though to some extent top
quality reflectors compete, for example for planetary viewing, with top quality
Apos such as those Tom makes.
4. Markus Ludes has said on the Internet that a Zambuto mirror he had
in a 10" Portaball was the finest mirror, and one of the finest optics, he has
ever tested.
5. There is a picture of Markus on the Starmaster website proudly
displaying the 20" inch Starmaster he owns. He has posted on the Yahoo groups
about the fine quality of Starmaster Go-To, which Rick Singmaster had just
developed. This is even though Markus sells Apos which to some extent compete,
for example for planetary viewing , with top end reflectors.
6. Carl Zambuto has praised Astrophysics refractors on the Yahoo
Zambuto Mirror group.
7. I know little about Vic Maris, but I do note that a California
newspaper interview with Vic Maris of StellarVue, which I accessed with a link
posted on SAA recently, discloses that Vic is a naturalist, a forest ranger,
and for years has given astronomy talks to children.
From which of these people would you prefer to buy a telescope? Whom
would you trust in a business transaction of that sort? Gee, that's a difficult
decision.

Bill, buy a 1/63.4 wave corrected mirror. Tell this about all your friends.
Then take all of them and go with your mirror to any professional optical
shop and ask to test this mirror. I can warranty you, you will be blue in
face after this public confuse. ;-) Your coice will be disproved.
