This group consists of:

(1) People that insult Einstein at every post (Valev, etc)
(2) People that post they see fossils in marsian rocks
(3) People that throw strange "Time and energy" theories at every post.
Aether is rediscovered, energy/matter relationships new invented...
(4) Mr Conrad exists as fossilized brain.
(5) Mr Plutonium posts:
Subject: recalibrating whether Cosmic incoming rays equals flow rate
of Amazon river discharge

All of them just post for their personal agenda. Ignoring Yousuf Kahn
nobody posts about astronomy here any more.

They are what your kill file is for. I agree there isn't much left after
that. Jocelyn Bell-Burnell was on the Radio 4 "start the week" programme
discussing amongst other things the end of the world due to Mayan
calendar overflow day. She explained it fairly well and rationally. But
I am not sure this is the correct approach any more.

It is worth listening to from 24 mins onwards - particularly if you live
in Montana. Astronomy starts a minute later. Faraday Lecture trailer

There is a link for the Faraday lecture and there will be a live feed on
the Royal Society website 10/2/11 17.30GMT. There is a security
certificate error on the following link but as far as I can tell it is
the genuine site it is just that they have muddled up their certification

I now favour maximising the credulous and gullible B-ark material and
conspiracy nuts culled might well increase the average IQ by 10 or 20
points. The world can do without EdConman, N*ncy and their ilk.

This group is completely dead.

Unfortunately it has been a Norwegian Blue for some time

s.a.a was set up to avoid the kooks and nutters with
NEW THEORIES OF THE UNIVERSE AND SHOUTING ALL THE TIME

Unfortunately even that is pretty well stone dead now.
