As today is the season premiere for Star Trek: Enterprise, and I'll
confess
I am a trekkie, the theme song and opening credits keep coming to mind:
"It's been a long road, getting from there to here ..."
eh. First season of Enterprise was mainly great with the occasional mildly
sucky episode. The characters were interesting, they didn't have the crutch
of perfectly working technology to fall back on, lots of good stories. Good
"we're learning this as we go along" vibe.
Last season started off mainly bad (stupid, contrived resolution to a
fantastic cliffhanger) and got steadily worse. The characters are already
stereotyped (there is absolutely no difference anymore between Sato and
Uhura, f'rinstance). Tired plots. Lots of blah.
And last week's episode *really* sucked. Buh-bye.
