Dennis,
You need something that will last a while.......
But on the other hand, with today's automobile prices, if it runs for more
than a couple of months.....you've got your moneys worth.
And like Jon said....older vehicles are generally easier to work on. I've
got a 91 Dodge Dakota that I don't want to part with, just because it's so
easy to work on.

I just had a call from the guy who's selling that 71 ford pickup, he was
calling
from work. He lives down in Newhall area and poor guy doesn't like drive
in / on
hot days. But he's going to see when he's got the time and will drive it
up to
me! to check out, and from what he says, it sounds like two lifters are
gumed
up, which the right stuff into the oil might free up but they are still
workable. It's got current tags on it too. Price is $300 to me. It was his
dad's
truck and he bought his dad a brand new one, said he first put the ads out
with
a $1,200 price. No Wonder it's dropped in price. Plus he has to move it
everyday
or get a ticket for it staying in one place and not in the driveway.
So if all the things go right, I'll have wheels again by sunday.
Keep your toes crossed!
