A If you live in the area, you already know that someone up there doesn't like
A us. We had 2 clear nights (but lousy seeing) in the past 8 days, but the
A party has ended. The area forecast is clouds and rain until next Friday.
A It may stop raining when we have another full moon.

You're probably correct about the forecast. Yet we ARE xamining
Mars regularly every chance we can. The planet is bright enough to
punch thru medium thick haze.
One thing we note is that the air is generally very still and
stable, allowing higher magnifications.
In a day or two I'll ppost the September NYC Events column, loaded
with all sorts of astro things to do in the NYC region, regardless of
weather. In gact, you may HOPE for cloudy skies once in a while to
enjoy these events!
