Ooh, just like refining, only uncontained!
Fill the atmosphere over the gulf with (essentially) gasoline vapors.
I love this plan!

exactly what happens anyway as it normally evaporates. *With the right
catalyst, the vapor could be gathered and used to power a self powered
boom system that not only orients itself toward the sun but powers
into the spill.


It's mostly acidic and otherwise toxic muck (aka: extremely sour crude
that's nearly worthless). In other words, perhaps it was an inside
job.
