There is a four day free exhibition "Your Universe" at UCL for International
Year of Astronomy (started yesterday Thursday 20th August) which continues
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There are many displays by astronomy groups,
universities, researchers, University of London Observatory, etc. A full
schedule of *free* public lectures is on offer each day.
For more details, see
http://www.ucl.ac.uk/youruniverse/
And for the lecture timetable click on the link on the left of the page.
Many of the lectures are advertised as suitable for ages 10 and upwards.
For travel to UCL, see
http://www.ucl.ac.uk/maps/ucl-maps/map1_hi_res
and enter by the main gate in Gower Street, then follow signs to "Your
Universe".
Parking in the area is free after 1.30 on Saturday and all day Sunday,
otherwise it is *very* expensive.
I hope to see you there.
