One of our first dates was Larch Mountain (east of Portland, OR) with an
orange tube C-8. Believe it or not, the date with the scope was her idea.
M57 is still her favorite. She only comes out occasionally now, but I would
recommend the moon and planets to start with. Beyond that I would stick with
the brighter objects. Faint fuzzies is an acquired taste and most don't
acquire it. But they still appreciate the detail seen in a cruise down the
terminator. (handing her the drive controller helps)
