That is what I do. Whenever I have disposed of old computers that I have
collected. I may put the towers on the curb for anyone who wants to pick
them up for the parts, but the hard drives are removed and literally smashed
with a hammer and disposed of in a trash can I do not put up until trash
pickup day.
