Does anyone here know what brand cameras and computers are being used by the
shuttle and space station?

Station has many types of computers. The US segment has 2 types of hardware:
laptops and proprietary control computers (MDMs based on hardened versions of
80386s). The laptop are split in 2: control computers that run Solaris (unix)
and provide the human interface to the MDMs (eg: the serious station control
stuff). The mission laptops run Windows 95 (some Windows 98) (lets hear
Shaltegger complain about them using archaic software since that is all he is
good for).
Some pictures have also allowed a peek at other types of computers such as
tablets and PDAs, usually associated with an experiment.
The laptops are IBM thinkpads. Although of late, it seems that one MAC laptop
has made it to the station to run some of the exercise equipment. The Windows
laptops run outlook which freezes often and required TLC fropm the ground
since they don't have a mail server on the station, so crew must manually shut
down outlook to allow ground to grab the mail files and transfer to ground for
processing (sending outbound mail) and deposit new mail files on the laptops
containing new mail.
The russian segment has similar laptops, but different control systems. HP and
ESA participated in the russian segment's computer systems.
Shuttle has proprietary control computers for avionics. Crew also have laptops
for outlook and experiments. However, laptops running widnows are used to help
with docking operations in the aft flight deck.

**** off, Monsieur Mezei - I actually designed some of the **** you
were talking about when you were fawning about the Space Station IMAX
movie. That big rack they're moving around the station? Look closely
- it's the ARS rack and just full of my stuff.
So bite me you neurotic, anti-Semitic troll. And while you're at it,
go get that law degree before you go spouting more incorrect "legal
advice" sbout U.S. copyright law. And learn to spell my name
correctly, too. It's not that hard.

Probably a wild mixture of cameras. I saw a presentation of the SRB camera
placement, mentioning a pair of Sony cameras. But I'm sure they're not chosen
for brand types but specific feature set.

The shuttle has both Hasselblad and Nikon digital still cameras. The
EVA camera is a modified F4 for digital. The shuttle uses a D1X inside
and the ISS has several D1 cameras
