Many posters here are like my wife:(
NOW PEOPLE!
Whatever we want we want it NOW!
Must fly NOW!
Must have new car NOW!
Must get pregnant NOW!
She tends to ignore the practical problems and dowbnside possibilties while
looking ONLY at what she wants TODAY!
Oftentimes a bit of long term planning can minimize all sorts of risks.
I guess its common, my wife wanted it ALL when we got married and this left us
buried in credit card debt:( Everything her parents worked a ifetime for must
have NOW:(
Now back to topic.
Posters dismiss the need to redesign the RCC, so we can get flying again NOW!
Yet they ignore how difficult fixing a 16 inch hole will be in orbit.
I would rather see a panel redesign and test. Then return to flight, even if it
adds a year to the downtime.
Wouldnt a more robust panel that perhaps might just crack be easier to fix in
orbit than ne you can stick your head thru?
