I'm sure if you contact SoftwareBisque and prove that you legitimately
purchased the product, you will receive them right away.

Indeed... and he is asking for a serial number and password for the purpose
of accessing copyrighted "Astronomy" software without any compensation to
the authors or copyright holders. In other words, he feels that he is
entitled to the benefits of someone else's hard work for free, simply
because he WANTS its.

Entitled??? I'm ENTITLED to everything, Jr.
And whos to say that it was hard work ? You???? Not!!!
Maybe its bull**** and not worth a dime??
Another non-certified rocket scientist indeed......
Maybe while you sit on your ass making $100k+ milking a gombment job its
easy to say throw away money, but when your a real employee, its a
little hard to give up food for my childtren with no guarantee the
product is worth while....I test drove my Saturn before I bought it too,
Einstein.
btw, I'm gonna upload to alt.binaries.images here in the next day or
two, anyone who WANTS a free copy can have it!!!!!
also, by chance do you do any programming?? I'd like to see a list of
your product line, in case me and the boyz WANT a copy.....

Obviously you have never written code.

Perhaps you should steal a magazine from the newsstand and read a review.
> Another non-certified rocket scientist indeed......
Neither certified nor scientist... but thanks for the ad hominem attack.

Oh I see... so it's alright to steal someone else's work and make them
unable to provide food for THEIR children, as long as you get everything you
want for free.
btw... did you test drive the last airplane you flew on without purchasing a
ticket? Unlike your Saturn, you do not OWN software... you purchase a
license to USE the software. The person who owns it gets to set the rules
for said license.

Never flown , Jim Bob. And never will. No need.
Children?? You got me there. I aint even married.....
I a Java 2 Programmer.....And programming IS very easy work, try pouring
a slab once in a while....
And if I hold the cd the software is on, (music, direct tv, and top
secret government projects) then the software is MINE! Duuuhhh!
Magazine? Review?? Man, thats like reading Playboy instead of having
sex with your wife!!
Another good example of a product not being worth the money!!!!!
Any developer, including myself, who makes public used code, should make
a freeware version if they believe in the program...which Biscuit does
not!!!!
Now get back to mowing your lawn and let the real astronomers get back
to work!

Never is a long time... but this does not invalidate the analogy. Perhaps
you have ridden on a bus or gone to a movie? Same concept (well, maybe not
the movie, since you undoubtedly sneaked into the theatre without paying).
> Children?? You got me there. I aint even married.....
Oh I see... so you were being disingenuous (i.e., lying) when you said that
if you had to pay for software you would have to give up food your children.

It is entirely at their discretion whether they want to produce a freeware
version or not. The fact that they choose not to, does not give you the
right to steal it.

Maybe you're a programmer, maybe you're a sad smackhead sitting in a
cyber cafe, maybe you're just a sock-puppet, maybe the above is your
ISP. (Try for more consistency in your fake headers by the way)
Whichever it is, Level 3 is getting an abuse report as well, just
because you're an offensive little ****.

<g> You're probably just speaking into the toilet, Paul.
I used to think like Wolfer/Scoffey thinks. It was sort of like
when girls trade romance novels. Someone had to buy the
book in the first place, and if it was really good, people would
buy the book just to have a copy of their own.
Nowadays, as you know, quality software comes with the need
to register to get support. Much of it is written with the need to
purchase and register it or it won't even perform. I've even
known some writers to include nasty viruses which would chew
up a thief's computer and spit it out.
At any rate, it looks like you're having fun with it, so this is just
a two-cent version of my upgraded feelings on the subject. If
you want developers to continue to develop good code, then
you don't steal from them. If you steal from them too much,
then they will just say, "Why bother?" and do something else.
happy days and...
starry starry nights!
